Website Designer (Contract) 

Breef is seeking a contract Website Designer to join our dynamic, fast-growing team. This individual will be responsible for leading the design direction, optimizations and digital innovations for breef.com through great UI / UX practices. 

This engagement will be focused on supporting a series of defined sprints. We will look to you to do an initial audit + exploration of our current website + components (fonts, icons, etc). This will act as the foundation for ongoing site optimizations. This role will work collaboratively with our larger design + product team.

Your day to day is to…

‍

• Help to optimize + evolve the foundation of breef.com through an audit + refresh of core brand components (fonts, icons, etc)
• Design and implement new website features, updates and improvements from start to finish
• Collaborate with our larger product and design teams, helping to solve problems and implement improvements through best-in-class design practices 
• Communicate design concepts through storyboards, wireframes and prototypes
• Focus on implementing best practices, designing for reusability, scalability and accessibility 
• Help support website research as needed about our user and / or the problem at hand 
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently 
• Own and evolve our website design system 
• Iterate, collaborate and communicate cross-functionally — with our leadership team, design, product  and engineering teams

‍You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

‍

• 6+ years of proven experience in UI / UX website design (B2B experience a plus)
• Experience designing in Figma and extreme familiarity with its offerings / capabilities
• Experience designing interfaces and creating user flows, wireframes and interactive mockups
• Experience with design sprints / agile methodology
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

This is a part-time role, requiring 10-15 hours per week. The position is remote (US-based or Australian timezone preferred). There is the possibility for this role to scale up.
